He believed the toilet was leaking, that maybe the wax ring had failed. That toilet has been there four years. He has a wax ring, but soon realized that the supply line had sprung a leak, corroded at the junction. A quick trip to the local over-priced hardware store and the toilet is now back in 'business.'
