April - Farm Dog Extraordinaire!
Today is April's 11th birthday. Hard to wrap my mind around that fact. We've had her since she was 8 weeks old, just a little black worm with tan legs. Doesn't seem that long ago, but eleven years is a good block of time, in dog years or girl years.
Breaking away from our urban lifestyle, finally living the dream! Not everyone shares this dream, but you can have what you wish as long as you never lose sight of the goal.
When the economy tanked, we took advantage of the housing bust and the chance of a lifetime. It is not easy, but when you have an opportunity to attain your dream, don't think twice.
I started this blog to keep track of our projects, because, well, you know. The memory is the first to go, right?
People thought I was nuts getting a green 3-year old when I turned 50. Now closer to 60 than 50, we're not looking back. No one thought this was a good idea, either, but I was not looking for approval, was just reporting the news. If not now, when?
